Color of the Month- Glorious Gray

Welcome to our first Color of the Month feature. This month we are celebrating the many tones of gray! Gray is often overlooked as a color choice as there is a misconception that it is a dull, colorless hue that will make a space feel dreary. WRONG! Because gray is not actually a true color, it provides the perfect neutral base that will harmoniously coordinate with any other color you can think of. When paired with pops of color, gray takes on a whole new perspective, as our examples below illustrate.

Recently we have taken to using gray as our favorite go-to paint color for reinventing older bathrooms for a modern-day context. Many of the baths in our properties have the original 1930's-60's floor and wall tile, an era where pastel colors were the trend. By using a gray wall color in conjunction with modern white fixtures, the pastel colored tile is visually neutralized and looks like an intentional design choice.
