Color of the Month- Exquisite Eggplant

This month we are celebrating the various tones of eggplant, which is fast becoming one of our favorite accent colors to use for feature walls, particularly in bedrooms and bathrooms.
When used in home interiors, this sophisticated shade of purple creates luxurious, elegant atmospheres. The photos below illustrate a variety of uses for eggplant, from features walls, lighting and textiles, to furniture, cutlery and dare we say it, ceilings!
Although purple is usually considered a more feminine color, eggplant tones generally have more white in them, softening the overall look and making it a versatile color to use for both males and females alike. We enjoy using eggplant on a feature wall in master bedrooms to create romantic, yet not overtly feminine spaces.
Purples can be a little overwhelming and intimidating to work with, but when used thoughtfully, they can create a real wow factor. We suggest starting out by incorporating eggplant into smaller accents such as cushions, lighting and smaller upholstered pieces, then move forward from there!
